We have decades of horticultural expertise growing the perfect poinsettia for the holidays; the Armstrong Poinsettia. We use only the best horticultural practices at every step in the growing process from selecting the best genetics, quality cuttings, rich soil, optimal temperatures, pinching the poinsettias with precision and finishing with the right amount of light for a fully colored poinsettia at just the right time.

We plan for over one million square feet of greenhouse space in two locations to grow this amazing crop. Crop times for each size and variety are meticulously planned so the plants are ready when you need them. Most of our cuttings come from Guatemala, where they are grown at the base of two volcanos in special, climate-controlled greenhouses under expert care. Every day, workers carefully select Armstrong cuttings for air-freight each night. A strict protocol is followed to ensure the plants are disease-free. Each procedure is timed to make sure the cuttings are handled with the utmost care and at the proper temperatures.

We choose to "slow-grow" Poinsettias in cool conditions, allowing the plants to tone with passive airflow. Our facilities are located near the ocean and our greenhouses are built to funnel cool air over the crop at optimum times throughout the day. These steps, while costlier, produce a more durable, longlasting plant. Our growers walk the crop daily discussing weather conditions and making adjustments to the greenhouse environment to make sure you receive the best-looking, best-performing Poinsettia that holds up with shipping.
